There are 6 different themes or strands within SIP (as listed below), a fact that reflects the breadth of the overall initiative. Each of the 90 or so constituent projects within SIP falls into one of these strands.

Within each of these strands SIP is exploring the benefits that ICT may offer to the educational process. It is hoped that the lessons learnt will have a major impact on teaching and learning in Irish schools as we progress through the 21st century.
