Children as Authors and Publishers (SIP018)
This project set out to cultivate the imagination of children by allowing free expression of their own ideas and acknowledging the value of such expression to themselves, society and posterity. Their awareness of how technology can contribute to communication was increased.

Project Aims
  • To teach children to improve their creative writing skills.
  • To teach children to use a computer more effectively and productively.
  • To improve children's presentation skills.
  • To empower children to produce 'their own book'.
  • To teach children word processing and other ICT skills.
Indicative Outcomes
  • Improvement in the writing skills of the participating children.
  • Development of strategies for the integration of ICT into the writing process in primary schools.
  • Development of children's capacity to critically review their own work and to comment on the work of their peers.
