Summary: This project aimed to integrate ICT seamlessly into the Mathematics curriculum in the Transition Year Option (TYO) and the Junior Cycle, each being treated as a separate project.

Title: Datalogging in Teaching Science (SIP002)
Duration: 18 months
Lead Organisation: Carrigaline Community School, Co. Cork
Summary: This project investigated the most suitable types of datalogging hardware and software for use in physics and chemistry laboratory experiments in Irish second-level schools.

Title: Promoting Science in an All-Girls Post-Primary School (SIP003)
Duration: 18 months

Duration: 18 months

Summary: This project investigated how datalogging equipment can enhance practical work in Leaving Certificate Biology and Junior Certificate Science.

Title: Control Technology Empowering Minds (SIP005)

Title: Thinking and Doing - Primary Science and ICT (SIP007)
Duration: 18 months

Summary: This project explored the use of ICT in the teaching and learning of primary science across the age and ability range in an urban, technology-poor, all-girls school.

Title: Integrating ICT and Mathematics in the Primary Curriculum (SIP008)
Duration: 18 months
Lead Organisation: St Columba's NS, Cork
Summary: The project aimed to continue the integration of ICT with the revised Maths curriculum and to further develop its use with deaf children and with special needs children within this newly amalgamated school.

Title: The Use of the Graphing Calculator in Teaching Science (SIP052)

Summary: This project evaluated whether Texas Instruments' datalogging equipment was a practical and effective data applications tool appropriate to select experiments and investigations on junior cycle and senior cycle curricula.

Summary: This project identified and exploited the advantages of hand-held technology for teaching and learning mathematics as well as providing teachers with the skills needed to make use of the technology in the classroom.
