Aspects of Science (Primary Science & ICT) (SIP049)
This project aimed to develop students' practical and theoretical science skills by using technology to enhance their learning experiences.

Project Aims
  • To develop the students' science skills within the chosen topic (electricity, magnetism, weather).
  • To use technology to enhance learning (e.g. recording, use of datalogger, analysing results, printing and displaying pie-charts, bar-graphs).
  • To develop students' ICT skills.
Indicative Outcomes
  • Improvement and enhancement of pupils' and teachers' interest in and knowledge of science and ICT.
  • Links to be made between the four schools involved, through the use of ICT (email etc).
  • Improvement in schools' resources and equipment in the field of science and ICT.
  • Links to be made with parents, the wider community and other relevant organisations (such as ISTA, ESB, Comenius project).
  • Realisation of how ICT can be a useful educational resource within the classroom.
  • ICT to be used as a cross-curricular tool across the primary school.
