Startech -- Learning Together (SIP043)
A project that examined the application of technology as a tool/resource to enhance curriculum delivery in primary schools in West Cork.

Project Aims
 
  • To enhance curriculum delivery in primary schools using ICT.
  • To develop and evaluate a series of curriculum initiatives that will exploit e-mail, videoconferencing and the Internet as teaching and learning tools.
  • To test emerging technologies in a practical working environment.
  • To offer support and training to all the partner schools to enable them to participate fully in the project.
  • Indicative Outcomes
     
  • Increased inter-schools cooperation.
  • Development of a bank of ICT expertise.
  • Development of a network of support for education at primary level.
  • Establishment of international links.
  • Development of the concept of networking as a practical aid to primary teachers.
  • Development of replicable curriculum initiatives that exploit the potential of email, videoconferencing and the Internet as teaching and learning tools.
