Using a light sensor

This buggy runs over and back on a white sheet. The light-sensor has a little lamp which shines downwards on the sheet, and a light-sensor which measures the reflected light. When it passes over a dark part, the light sensor tells the RCX that the light it receives is now low, and the RCX reverses the direction of the motor.

The Program

We attach the three jig-saw programming blocks as shown on the left by dragging them into place with the mouse. We turn on the motor attached to Output A and we use the Light-sensor Watcher to reverse the motor if the light level falls below 51. The light sensor is attached to Input 3.
