Saint John's Girls' and Infant Boys.

St. John's Girls' and Infant Boys' School is set in the grounds of St. John's Cathedral in the centre of Limerick City. There are 249 pupils in our school and a dedicated staff of 23 people. The children come mainly from the Garryowen area but we also have pupils coming from other parts of the city and indeed the countryside as well.

In our school we place a great emphasis on the happy learning and working environment where everybody has something very special to contribute to the success of our school. We combine, in our curriculum, involvement in Special Reading Programmes, Art & Craft Development Programmes, Personality Development Courses and Sports such as Basketball, Swimming, Camogie etc.

A major repair and refurbishment programme is now sanctioned by the DES and work is expected to begin this summer. We have a very active Parents' Group who participate in our Reading and Computer Programmes and also partake in a number of successful courses for themselves such as cookery and computer skills.

The parent body also raises substantial funds on the school's behalf. St. John's Girls' and Infant Boy's School aims to provide a happy learning environment for all who come and to welcome our visitors both real and virtual with open arms.
