to our website, brought to you by the pupils of
St. Patrick's Boy's N.S., Castlebar. Using computer technology, we present some of the interesting facts which we discovered about our locality and the people who have lived there from 3000 B.C. to the present as we undertook our School Integration Project on local history. This website presents elements of our project, an outline of our project approach, some of the resources we employed to help us in our work with pupils and teacher comments and tips. It also presents some of our finished work, which includes artwork, stories, interesting facts, a RealPlayer file of a radio play, interactive quizzes, audiofiles of a 1798 stageplay, and lots, lots more. This site serves as a guide to other schools interested in undertaking similar projects or is simply for the curious - the 'hurlers on the ditch'! We hope you enjoy it!
