1.      We dug up last year’s vegetable patch and took out the weeds.

2.      Martin put some barrows of compost on it for us.

3.      Next we mixed in the compost and divided the area into three sections.

4.      We enjoyed scattering the seeds-wheat, barley and oats. Some of us ate the seeds too!

5.      After that the seed had to be pressed gently into the soil so we trampled on them.

6.      Finally today we tied plastic bags on to sticks and stuck them in the cornfield.  The bags will rustle and scare away the birds.  We don’t want them to eat all our seeds.
