The Connected Communities Learn about the Ennis SIP project
19th September 2000

Who are the Connected Communities?
The Connected Communities Group is a sub - group of the Information Society Commission , a group appointed in 1997 by the Taoiseach.
It was established to follow-on from the "IT Access for All" Report. The Group is working to identify ways to overcome existing barriers to the uptake of new technology, particularly amongst late adopters and to identify the IT needs of people within the community.
They held a conference in Ennis on the 18th - 19th September. The Ennis primary SIP schools were delighted to be able to present their work to the delegates at the Ennis Museum, Temple gate.
