Senior classes, and their teachers, in six schools, in the Sliabh Luachra district of Co. Kerry, undertook this Schools Integration Project.

Details. This project will use ICT to develop network links between a numbers of schools. It will help develop the ICT skills of staff and students, promote the value of technology in learning and teaching new skills, and foster inter-school linkages.

Objectives. · To establish links between local Primary Schools and community to integrate use of ICT. · To develop cultural awareness within the community. · To reinforce cross-circular links to exchange materials, skills and local expertise with the community. · To promote community links with surrounding schools to enhance teaching and learning.

Indicative Outcomes. · Pupils to participate and gain enhanced knowledge through the use of ICT. · Resource materials and expertise shared between schools. · Promote a concept of teaching and learning through a Local Community network.
