Business Notes and support from this fledgling, Irish, educational, site are specifically designed for the needs of the Irish syllabus at both Leaving and Junior Certificate level. Teachers and Students are further advised that there are resources on all subjects available at Leaving and at ScoilNet. These are terrific and totally free sites.

  1. A Catalogue of Resources for teaching about ethical and global issues in the Economics and Business Studies classroom.

  2. A Host of Websites containing information about global and ethical issues in Business and Economics that should be useful to teachers and students.

  3. Biz/ed is a unique business and economics service for students, teachers and lecturers. There is a terrific archive of business topics, listed alphabetically, at this site. Just about every topic for the Leaving Certificate is covered comprehensively.

  4. Business Diagrams from Bized. You can search the diagram bank either by keyword or simply by the title of the diagram.

  5. Business Glossary from Bized. This glossary has definitions of a wide variety of business terms. Each glossary term will also give any related diagrams, other related glossary items and related sections on Biz/ed.

  6. Business news and breaking business stories from the USA provided by MSN/NBC. Whether you want the latest from the DOW or the NASDAQ or the headlines from the Wall Street Journal, it is here

BUSINESS 2000 is a curriculum linked resource designed to bring real business stories into the classroom.Provided by the Irish Times, this dedicated website provides all the information currently available on the CD that accompanies the sixth edition of Business 2000. Resources Include Business Syllabus outline, Past Examination papers, Glossary of Business Terms, Cas Studies and much more

  10. Canadian Business Online . Deals with international business topics online

  11. Case Studies. Every week during term time, a new case study will be added to the list. The suggested solution will appear one week later. Both question and solution are printable.

  12. Click on one of the business topics on the left of the page. The first topic within each category is free. You may decide to pay the 20 sterling annual fee to get access to all the topics and notes.

  15. Competition Authority is a statutory body with a specific role to enforce Irish competition law. Competition law is designed, primarily, to protect and benefit the consumer. If you believe there is a cartel running in your area you should contact The Competition Authority as they may be able to help you.

  43. The Small Business Exchange Business Plan Workshop! This workshop will help you create a business plan to guide your business through the start-up or growth phase, search for capital, or any other endeavour your small business undertakes.

  44. The Oxford School of Learning has been teaching Business Studies via the Internet for 2 years, for free. Other resources include an archive of comprehension questions updated daily, case studies and internet-based assignments. Some links are listed individually but there are too many to list them all.
