WWW.Skoool.ie Notes and support from this fledgling, Irish, educational, site are specifically designed for the needs of the Irish syllabus at both Leaving and Junior Certificate level. Teachers and Students are further advised that there are resources on all subjects available at Leaving Cert.net and at ScoilNet. These are terrific and totally free sites.

 

  1. About Chemistry. Click on the links on the left of the page for a comprehensive treatment of many of the topics required for the Leaving Certificate syllabus. Many of the links are mega links (they contain lots of links to further information)

  2. Acronyms and Abbreviations. You can search this index. Type the keyword(s) you want to search for. Type in an acronym.

  3. Active Learning In Chemistry Education (ALICE) DOWNLOAD and print the entire program or individual chapters, and you can duplicate as many copies as you need. The only restriction is that ALICE must be used for non-profit purposes only, and no charge may be made for the materials or their use.

  24. "Doc Brown's Chemistry Clinic" the FREE (especially of adverts!) 'nuts and bolts' chemistry site. Also has loads of links to more excellent resources

  26. Environmental Chemistry. This site provides chemistry, environmental and hazardous materials educational resources including a detailed periodic table of elements; articles on chemistry, environmental and hazardous materials issues; a geologic timeline; and much more. There are over three hundred pages packed with content.

  27. Frank Potter's Science Gems Physical Science III. This is a mega link to hundreds of other links to great resources for chemistry students.

  28. Helping you to understand Chemistry. Highly recommended for students of leaving Certificate Chemistry. Prepared by a chemistry teacher for A Level students

  41. Welcome to the Chemist's Art Gallery containing spectacular visualization and animations in chemistry done at the Visualization and Animation Laboratory at CSC. Terrific descriptions, graphics and animations. There are so many excellent links here that it would take months to view and absorb them all

Revision Time

  1. 'A' Level Chemistry Revision Resources. Most of the material on this site is designed for revision and practice. The site does not contain much explanation or introductory material.

  2. A page of links to help you to revise for your Leaving Certificate examination in Mathematics from Schools Historyl

  3. An excellent site from Study Links for students reading the Leaving Certificate Chemistry syllabus.It has revision notes, sample questions, and model answers. You can have a fourteen day free trial of their resources

  4. Chemistry Study Notes. Some excellent material here. Some will be relevant to your prescribed course. To Access some content you may be asked to subscribe (become a member). This is a free, safe, and a superb site

  5. Chemistry Quizzes have been written for many topics on the chemistry syllabus. Click on the topic to connect to a multiple choice quiz that will give you your results immediately.
